Our flowers are available from April to October. Also look out for our stylish handmade Christmas wreaths and festive table decorations during December, using locally coppiced willow, hedgerow greenery and evergreen offerings from the Gillyflower garden.
Originally from Canada, Trevor has been an Alexander teacher, performer, writer, and postman, since moving to the UK in 1976.
Since his teens he's had a passion for the British countryside, and with Gillyflower that passion has found its home
Bettina has arrived at flower-growing via a successful career as a dancer and choreographer.
Descended from green-fingered ancestors, the gardening genes finally won out, resulting in Bettina studying horticulture and training in an organic market garden in South London.
Gillyflower, run by Bettina and Trevor Davies,
is a labour of love that grew out of our interest in organic gardening. We started with an allotment, growing food and a few flowers… and soon found ourselves with just under an acre of flower garden!
All of our blooms are grown to organic principles, resulting in cutting gardens teeming with birds, bees and beneficial insects. Our flowers are seasonal, they flower when 'the time is right' for every different species and veriety. While this means that there won't be roses in April or tulips in August, it also means that our bouquets and wedding flowers are always full of delicious surprises and truly reflect the season in which they're picked.
Olivia's been working alongside us for the past two years, helping out both with the field work and floristry. She will be much more closely involved with our wedding floristry from April 2018. Her freelance work as a florist includes Scarlet&Violet, Bread and Roses, That Flower Shop, Petalon and her own company Wetherly.
